Back to Sandbar

We headed to Sandbar on the Myall Lakes for the weekend with my folks. We have been going to Sandbar for too many years to remember and i love it there.

The Myall Lakes are a series of freshwater lakes that are protected under the Ramsar Convention (a modern treaty aimed at conserving natural resources). Sandbar is located to the southern end of the lakes, about an hour and half north of Newcastle.

It was Tash’s birthday so mum had cooked up a storm and made caramel pie !!!!

We spent Saturday sleeping in, a lazy hit of golf on the sandbar gold course and a spot of fishing in the afternoon. Dad managed to haul in two little fellas that we threw back.

Sunday morning after breakfast we took a stroll around the edge of the Lake to the beach.
