Storm Watching at Stokes

Thursday we were watching the BOM and thought we were in for a decent storm, which we havent really had since we arrived, which given that it is supposed to be the wet season which is also supposed to be storm season.

So we headed home after work, changed and wandered to Stokes Wharf, an old wharehouse on the end of the old jetty (which is still a functioning jetty) that has been converted into a takeaway alfresco food centre, where we had a lovely dinner on the water watching the sunset and a storm that never evenuated, well not whilst we were at the wharf anyway. At about 3am we were woken by claps of thunder and monsoonal rain drenching the city.
