London

Today we had a well earned sleep in, then watched the stupidest movie I think of all time with Phillo, it was some American civil war movie with Bad effects, acting and storyline, but also one that was so stupid none of us could stop watching it was hilarious. After the movie we headed back to Notting Hill, yes again, this time to have lunch with my best buddy from Uni. and Sydney flatmate Kath. Was super excellent to catch up and we made plans to hook up for dinner at this Brazilian restaurant later that evening.

We left Notting Hill and headed for the London Eye whilst the sky was still semi blue. I lined up for about 40 minutes (only 1 person per group is allowed to stand in the line) got the tickets and headed for the pods. The ride takes about 45 mins and was good in terms of working out where everything is in relation to each other but crap for photos – curved, dirty reflecting glass!

After the Eye we headed to Leicester Sq. past all the half price theatre ticket booths (taking note for our return), down to Piccadilly Circus, which apparently is just a funny looking roundabout area with a statue thing in the centre. We left the circus and wandered over Pall Mall and Regent St (noticing the Monopoly board yet!) down to St. James and back to the tube and home.

We changed and headed off back to yes you guessed it Notting Hill! Only after a change in plans, we aren’t just sticking to the one area we know. We met Kath and headed off to the restaurant with some of her friends (2 south Africans and 3 aussies), for an excellent night of food and drinks. We jumped the last tube back home for a nice sleep.
